ROUND #44 3

Dec30

Happy New Year everyone! Spokane is continuing in it’s winter wonderland fashion. What are we at now? Like 60 inches I heard. Going out to shovel off the roof soon. yikes!

In a few weeks I will be in Seattle to play the Round. It’s a lovely collaborative artsy night with 3 musicians: myself, Shannon Stephens and Kate Tucker. Along with two poets and two visual artists. We all will be sharing pieces…songs, poetry and art throughout the night. It’s held at the Fremont Abbey and is on the 13th of January.

I had the opportunity to play the Round in Portland and it was a really beautiful experience. I believe they happen once a month in Seattle and near that in Portland. Again, I’m not too sure about this, but I think it’s free with a suggested donation. Anyways, hope to see you there if you are around the Seattle area. It will be a lovely night in all surety.

Christmas Show Recap… 2

Dec22

Thanks to everyone who braved winter storm watches and joined us for the Christmas show at Empyrean. We had lots of fun and a very random but exciting program. Our special guests included Zac Fairbanks on the electric guitar, Tremayne Fairbanks with Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree on the piano, Jessica Hand, Scott Ellis, and Alexis Hand with a few special carols, an original poem by Danielle Estelle and a reciting of I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day by 3-year-old Isabella Ferch. Here’s a youtube video of the little starlet reciting a different poem, but this gives you a little idea of what you missed.

Needless to say, I’ve never seen an audience grin and giggle more. Isabella is the daughter of some very good friends, we didn’t just find her at a talent agency. (;

Please don’t forget to share the free downloads with friends and family! They are there for everyone. A few German blogs/Radio stations have been supporting the Christmas for FREE effort…check out the following links!

German Radio podcast…I come in at about 3 quarters of the way through!

Please be careful this week. I hope everyone who is having travel trouble can make it to their homes in time for Christmas. What a crazy time we are having in the Northwest trying to be together. Over 3 feet in my yard! wow! Merry Christmas everyone!

Hey yo, everyone. It’s time we got rolling with this Christmas music stuff. All the songs are up for download now on a little site I created for this project. We hope you enjoy it and come to the Christmas show on Sunday if you are in town. Please don’t let the snow keep you away. And if you are willing, bring some cookies or treats to share at intermission. Look forward to a full band, poetry readings, jingle bells, sing-alongs and guest appearances by Kaylee Cole, Jessica Hand, Trey (my little brother), Zac Fairbanks (my twin brother), and who knows who else! Doors will be at 6:30, show starts at 7pm….oh…did I mention it’s free?
